In the Devil wears Prada, the main
character was looking for a job but did not really care about what the job was.
She did not care about the history of the job, nor what the requirements were
for the job. The job was about fashion. She had no type of fashion, nor did she
know how to network at the time. Fortunately she was able to get the job.
Usually
coming in to an interview like that, you would want to know a little brief
history about the job, and what type of dress code do the employers usually
wear. You want to dress the part and actually fit in with the fashion of
business. You want to be able to understand and speak the language they speak comfortably.
Eventually,
the main character starts to get used to the program and agenda that the
employers were pacing their selves at. She learned how to walk the walk and
also talk the talk. She changed her outfit to fit accordingly to the job. She
changed her fashion and started learning about the fashion. Now usually, you
would already want to know about all these things before even entering an
interview so that the interviewee can be more interested in you.
Basically,
the deeper meaning of the Devil Wears Prada movie is to stay ready so you do
not have to get ready. The main character had to prepare herself after she already
got the job. 9 times out of 10 you will not get the job if you are not prepared
for the situation. If you prepare yourself ahead of time, you can be ready for
any questions the interviewee might ask you. You can prepare yourself to
actually get employed.
